City Centric
Season 2

Fridays at 8:30 PM beginning Aug. 30

CITY CENTRIC returns for a second season of interviews with trailblazers from six more cities across our region. Each city’s episode reveals the stories of six changemakers who exemplify their city and possess unique roles including business leader, revitalizer, artist, humanitarian, historian, educator and visionary.

“The passion this cast of guests has for their community has been so inspiring for me to see,” said Sophia Gillespie, PBS Western Reserve associate producer of content. “We hope that anyone who watches feels the same way I do listening to these stories of authenticity, courage and kindness.”

The cities featured this season are Cuyahoga Falls, Wooster, Chagrin Falls, Medina and Warren in Ohio, and New Castle in Pennsylvania. Guests include Cuyahoga Falls student Abishak Gajmer, who organized a culture fair at his high school; Warren local Rick Stockburger, whose company supports the advancement of clean energy in Warren and beyond; and Chris Frye, New Castle’s city administrator, whose revitalization efforts have transformed the city’s economy and safety.

CITY CENTRIC is the flagship series for PBS Western Reserve’s LuminUS: Stories About Us collection, which focuses on the Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania region. PBS Western Reserve produced CITY CENTRIC in collaboration with Skully Media Co. of Youngstown. Production support was provided by members of PBS Western Reserve.
