IRA Rollover / QCD
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) is a way to make charitable donations directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to charitable organizations of your choice. You must be 70 ½ years old or older to make a QCD without the withdrawal being treated as taxable income. The withdrawal can be counted toward your Required Minimum Distribution.
The transfer must come from your IRA, made payable to PBS Western Reserve; the funds may not be transferred into a personal, non-IRA account with a check then written to PBS Western Reserve.
To make the gift, contact your IRA custodian and follow their procedures to request a “Qualified Charitable Distribution.” Provide the following information to your custodian:
- Legal Name: Northeastern Educational Television of Ohio Inc.
- EIN/Tax ID: 34-1123819
- Mailing Address: PBS Western Reserve 1750 W. Campus Center Drive Kent, OH 44240-3820
If your custodian is mailing a check directly to PBS Western Reserve, request that your name and address be included.
Then, please notify us at 330-677-4549 or EMAIL with the gift amount, your name and address and the name of the financial institution sending your gift.
