Twist the Night Away

This week, we want you to get up and dance. Move around. Shake it and sing along to the music. Here are just a few highlights in store.

OK, I’ll admit it. Whenever I hear “In the Air Tonight” by Genesis, I wait for just the right moment to play the air drum. (Three minutes and 16 seconds in, if you’re curious.) Back in 2007 the band reunited for an incredible concert in Rome’s Circus Maximus in front of a half-million people. Hear their hits—and play air drums, air guitar or just sing along with “Genesis: When in Rome 2007,” Thursday at 8 PM.

Twenty-five years ago, who would’ve guessed a tap-dance troupe from Ireland would take the world by storm? Their latest television special re-creates their first taps on stage and takes the dancers to a whole new level. PBS Western Reserve brings you Riverdance 25th Anniversary Show on Friday at 9 PM.

Some shows are so popular that we bring them back from time to time. Such is the case with one of rock ‘n’ roll’s most distinctive voices, John Fogerty. He fronted Creedence Clearwater Revival and then went on to have a slew of hits on his own. We’ll take another look at his remarkable career in John Fogerty: My 50 Year Trip, Saturday at 10 PM.

Rock, folk, classical, jazz—you name it, you’ll see and hear it on PBS Western Reserve. We do it all for you and thanks to you. Your continued support of PBS Western Reserve makes everything we do possible. If you haven’t yet become a member, here’s your invitation: click here to support your hometown PBS station
