SECRETS OF THE ROYAL PALACES features many behind-the-scenes anecdotes of the monarchy’s residences. Among the stories: a royal butler recalls how he accidentally ended up dancing with the queen, and an interior designer to the stars reveals what he found in the drawers of Buckingham Palace. 

Historian Kate Williams also has some gruesome tales from palace history, including the story of the oddest resident of Kensington Palace; a brutal murder in Scotland’s Holyrood; and the secret Kensington interrogation center known as the London Cage.
