Thursdays, Sept. 7–21, at 10 PM
Fridays, Sept. 8–22, at 3 AM
Part rediscovery, part revelation and a total riot, this three-part series follows actors Miriam Margolyes and Alan Cumming as they travel, tucked away in a mobile home and discover their Scottish ancestry.
The pair embarks on a mission to uncover the country of their youth, rolling along Scotland’s cities and Highlands, and into its wildest places.
In Part 1, the travelers visit the street where Margolyes’ Jewish family first lived in Scotland, and Cumming learns about his ancestral past at Cawdor Castle in Nairnshire.
In Part 2, they visit Ullapool and Glencoe on their love letter tour of Scotland. They meet Susan, a pagan witch, who involves them in an ancient healing ritual, and Cumming fulfills his dream of writing and performing a song in Gaelic.
In the final episode, they finish their Scottish odyssey driving from Inverness to Edinburgh. They enjoy some vegan white pudding, kosher haggis and “Zen golf” along the way.
