DEAR JERRY: CELEBRATING THE MUSIC OF JERRY GARCIA honors one of the most influential musicians and cultural icons of our time. The concert event, filmed at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, features surviving Grateful Dead members plus an array of musical artists from rock, folk, R&B, reggae, bluegrass, and country as they celebrate Garcia’s enduring musical and cultural legacy.
Join Phil Lesh & Communion, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann with Billy & the Kids, David Grisman, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Frampton, Los Lobos, Yonder Mountain String Band, and others as they perform a string of Garcia’s most popular songs. The once-in-a-lifetime concert event pulls from all the musical genres of Garcia’s style—from bluegrass to folk and everything in between—and features “Uncle John’s Band,” “Shady Grove,” “Fire on the Mountain,” “Touch of Grey,” and “Ripple.”
