1969 was a magical year for Creedence Clearwater Revival. Not only had the California rock band played for hundreds of thousands at Woodstock, but they also had four top singles and three top 10 albums. Rolling Stone dubbed them the best American band and they were challenging the Beatles for the title of the biggest group in the world. On the heels of this success, Creedence Clearwater Revival launched their first ever European tour, including a stop at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the most prestigious music venue in the U.K.

CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL features previously unseen video and the only concert footage of the group’s original lineup to be released in its entirety. Narrated by actor Jeff Bridges, the 1970 concert special features John Fogerty, Tom Fogerty, Doug Clifford and Stu Cook performing such classics as “Fortunate Son,” “Proud Mary,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Born on the Bayou” and more. This music special transports you back to an era when rock reigned supreme and CCR was at its apex.

After spending roughly 50 years in storage, fans now have the chance to see and hear the meticulously restored footage. With rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty leaving less than a year after this performance and the group disbanding in 1972, this concert truly captures one of the last great performances of the original Creedence Clearwater Revival, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band known for their unique mix of swamp, blues, R&B and country.
